SPIP reconoce un cierto número de formatos de archivo en su bucle DOCUMENTS.
La reacción de SPIP cuando no reconoce una extensión es comprimir ese fichero por razones de seguridad. Por ejemplo, eso evita que el script de un archivo PHP sea ejecutado cuando se añade ese archivo a los documentos adjuntos (de un artículo o de una sección).
Si se desea añadir un formato de archivo suplementario, por ejemplo un Powerpoint (pps), se debe añadir ese formato a la tabla spip_types_documents de la base de datos, mediante phpMyAdmin [1].
